Lectors and Readers proclaim the Word of GOD at Mass. Parishioners who are interested in this ministry must have a strong, clear voice and attend an Archdiocesan Reader's workshop. One lector is needed at each weekday Mass, Saturday Vigil Mass and Sunday Masses. Lectors must arrive at least 10 minutes prior to the start of every Mass. An interview with the pastor is required.
The information below can assist you in preparing to read the Word of GOD. It can be used as a supplement to the workbook that was given to you. The format of the readings is the same as the lectionary. There is also an audio of the readings and a monthly schedule for your convenience.
